Over 22 years of experience in the clinical research industry, including 5 years in medical devices.  Currently Vice President of Global Clinical Development at 3M Healthcare.  Jane started her career in Australia working in breast cancer research and relocated to the US 17 years ago.  Experienced with executing pre and post-market studies globally for both drugs and devices including FDA approval of a nanocoated cardiac stent, hormonal therapy for breast cancer and chemotherapy for hematological malignancies.

Director of Capital Formation of Biglari Capital Corp. Principal of Southwestern Money Management LLC, a Biglari Capital Subsidiary. He began his career by founding an investment management firm in 1997 that managed a mutual fund and subsequently consulted with national investment firms. Faisal is also Adjunct Professor of Finance at Trinity University having previously served as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the University of Houston. He received his BS in Business and Finance from Trinity University and his MBA from Tulane University.

Dan Wadsworth

Over 30 years of experience leading innovation in scientific and engineering enterprises and driving value in public and private life science companies. Commercialized over 100 medical device technology advancements in fields including wound healing, cancer drug delivery, ESRD, atherosclerotic disease, and orthopedics. Dan has held executive leadership roles in medical device companies such as CR Bard (BD) and KCI (Acelity). Has led commercialization, R&D, quality and regulatory efforts. Co-founder and COO of Metric Medical Devices, Inc. Two US patents in chemotherapy drug delivery.

Gregg Topoleski

With over 20 years of experience in finance, Gregg has spent the past 11 years in the Med Tech space.  He started his career with General Electric working in various Industrial, MEMS/Sensing, and Security industries.  He then joined GE Healthcare with roles in Life Support Systems, Business Development, and Anesthesia & Respiratory, leading that division as the Global CFO.  Gregg went on to lead as VP of Finance, Global Operations & Innovation for privately held Acelity, until a successful exit/acquisition by 3M Healthcare. Currently he is leading Finance Pipeline & Strategy for Exact Sciences, a cancer diagnostic company.  He has deep domain knowledge & experience with Med Tech R&D, finance, and strategy.

Richard Petty 

Richard has a professional career spanning more than 30 years in business and academia. He has been a professor or visiting academic and delivered lectures and keynote addresses at various universities around the world. Richard has authored and/or co-authored more than 100 academic and professional works including several books, and received awards as a researcher, an editor of academic works, and as an educator. In business, Richard has founded several companies and is an active investor. He has served on numerous public and private company boards. Richard is a past Chair of the Australian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong & Macau, and past Chair and President of CPA Australia. He is a former Board Member of International Federation of Accountants and served as a member of the Business20 (B20) on the Finance and Infrastructure Taskforce. He has also advised on significant projects and investments made in Asia. Richard holds several degrees, including a PhD, and is a university medalist. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia, a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Richard has lived and worked in Asia for more than 20 years.
