Experience


Over 30 years of management and leadership experience.  Currently, the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer at Olifant Medical, leading projects to develop stylet technologies, ETT securement devices, an ETI protective barrier enclosure, and an advanced nasopharyngeal airway, responsible for all day-to-day operations from accounting to quality to inventory management, contract negotiation, and marketing.   In his previous role, he was instrumental in leading product development projects that resulted in the release of 8 product families into US markets, including K124022 Staple, Fixation, Bone; K133321 Intervertebral Fusion Device with Bone Graft, Cervical; K140303 Intervertebral Fusion Device with Bone Graft, Lumbar; K141993 Appliance, Fixation, Spinal Intervertebral Body; K141123 Plate, Cranioplasty, Preformed, Alterable; BK160045 Cyclone Platelet Rich Plasma Separator for Bone Graft Handling; BK170198 Platelet and Plasma Separator for Bone Graft Handling; K173128 Intervertebral Fusion Device with Bone Graft Handling; K201521 Appliance, Fixation, Spinal Intervertebral Body.  Authored, validated, and managed quality management systems, passing numerous FDA inspections while gaining ISO 13485 certification.  He has been a certified quality auditor in internal and external audits and has conducted countless onsite supplier audits. He is certified in Medical Device Risk Management and Root Cause Analysis.  Before industry, he worked on projects such as Characterization of Organic Cation Pathways Across Cell Membranes, Design/Delivery of Cancer Therapy Pharmaceuticals on Nanoscale, and Rapid Antigen Detection and Identification Using Pyrosequencing Technology as well as Natural Gas to Liquid Gasoline Method Determination.

Dr. Steven G. Venticinque, MD

Over 23 years of experience in academic, military, and private practice medicine. Professor of Anesthesiology and Surgery. Active practice in anesthesiology and critical care medicine. Dr. Venticinque has directed numerous clinical and academic programs, including program director of critical care medicine fellowships and consortium director of a multidisciplinary, multi-hospital critical care training collaborative. He has authored over 45 book chapters, journal articles, and scientific abstracts and has coordinated numerous national and international workshops. Research interests include airway management, echocardiography, the anesthesia workstation, clinical pathways, and medical device development. Board Examiner, American Board of Anesthesiology. 20 years of active-duty military service. In the U.S. Navy he served as an Aircrewman on reconnaissance aircraft. In the U.S Air Force he served as an anesthesiologist and Critical Care Air Transport Team (CCATT) leader and has transported patients all over the world on both strategic and tactical missions. He also served as an anesthesiologist within austere military settings and has authored manuscripts pertaining to austere medical care. Co-founder, Olifant Medical.
